Glad you found something in this post! I am going through it too, and writing these is so very cathartic.

Brilliant. This was a much needed change of perspective for me. As you know, I'm in the midst of a big life shift and this was just the thing I needed to read this morning. Time to tie up all these loose ends. Thank you. โ˜บ๏ธ

You are welcome! I am going thru quite the shift myself (I donโ€™t directly talk about it in Substack), but it warms my heart that it helps you. Just writing it out is cathartic. Get that journal out, sir!

Thank you. This was the culmination of my personal Mabon works and three days of messages coming thru. It just grew larger as I wrote. I see you too, sister. โœจ

Thank you for this beautiful wisdom, friend! โค๏ธ I like the idea of culling. At the beginning of this year, I had a dream where my guides told me, "This is your last year to live." I'm still not sure if it was meant to be literal or metaphorical, but it definitely has prompted to take stock and do some massive culling in my life. In addition to how it might help me, I find that I don't want to leave behind anything unnecessary for my loved ones to have to deal with. (Also, I have that same Jungian archetype deck, but I forgot all about it! Thanks for the reminder! I'm going to pull it out.)

What a cryptic message. Truly puzzling. It feels to me that it is some metaphorical way of living wrapping up before something else takes hold? Perhaps some serious life work is in store for you.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. The jungian deck is something I picked up earlier this year, but this was the first time I really used it. Not sure i am too connected to it just yet. But the bookโ€™s card summaries are so poetic.

I love the word "culling". Fascinating that it means both cutting away as well as gathering. Yes to cutting away toxic patterns, dysfunctional relationships, negative thinking and messages. And yes during this time of dying and grief to gather and take in self-care, nurturance, and compassion.,

This is a really interesting series of posts. Thanks for them.

I don't know if this makes any sense to anyone other than me, but while reading this post about Death, I was reminded of the Hanged Man, and the relationship the two cards may share. I've always interpreted The Hanged Man as asking us to give something up, to make room for something better. Death simply forces that decision upon us.

Yes, the Hanged Man. Totally agree. I have always seen the hanged man as the opposite of the world, at least in respect to the position of the legs. The inner world vs. the outer world.

The Hanged Man as opposite The World. I'd not thought about it that way before you mentioned it. Thank you!

You are welcome. Put them side by side, it opens up so much. I once read that a way to see the hanged man is that he is upside down and coins fall out of his pockets to the ground, indicating a loss of the material world focus.
